About

Applying to US residency as an international medical graduate means making expensive guesses. Programs publish statistics, but they are scattered, inconsistent, and almost never presented in a way that answers the only question that matters: given who I am, is it worth applying here?

MatchMyProgram puts all 407 accredited Family Medicine programs in one place and ranks them against your own profile. It is built by an IMG who went through this, for IMGs going through it now.

Three principles

Missing data is shown as missing.

A number nobody published reads as "not reported". It never becomes a zero, and a program is never pushed to the bottom of a ranking for a figure its director chose not to release.

Nothing is hidden behind a score.

Every fit score opens up to show the exact inputs, the weight each carried, and what was left out.

Small samples are labelled.

A 40% interview rate calculated from 30 applicants is not the same fact as one calculated from 1,500. Programs where the numbers are shaky say so on the card and on the page.

What this is not

It is not advice about your application, and it is not a prediction. The figures describe cycles that have already happened. Programs change their filters, their leadership and their visa policies, sometimes between one cycle and the next. Always confirm what matters on the program's own website before you spend an application fee or a signal on it.

Internal Medicine and Neurology are being prepared and will appear as separate specialties.
